Changing ownership of all files owned by former team member.
Hi
We plan to remove and reallocate the dropbox memberships of two team members who have left our organisation. However, they both had a bunch of shared folders which they are the listed owner of. Is there a way of seeing what all the folders a particular member owns are and changing ownership of all of them? I do have their logins as they were work accounts so could either do it via their accounts or as the admin of the team.
Alternatively, if they are just deleted from the team, will the shared folders that they own also be deleted? Or will they still remain viewable to the other accounts that they are shared with.
Thanks
Mark
Hi there, Show Me Shorts , let's jump right into this!
It sounds like you're part of a team, and you wish to change the ownership of some shared folders that your members own.
You can either sign into their account using their credentials, or sign in as each team member and use these steps, in order to achieve that. You should be able to visit each account's sharing page, in order to see all of their shared content.
If you decide to remove them from the team, you can always choose to transfer their files to another active member on the team. See more about that here.
If you have any questions, let me know!
