Hey WAS48, how are you today?
Regarding someone else using your email, since a Dropbox account (yours) already exists, no one would have been able to sign up to Dropbox using your email.
About the photos though, do you know their exact location in your account?
Which folder are they in, is it perhaps a folder you're sharing with some of the people in them?

These seem like some kind of system related files, but let's look into it.
Do you see any unknown devices or web sessions connected to your account in your security page here?
Also, if you locate one of those files and check the version history, do you see it's added from one of your own devices?
