I want to switch my billing from Apple to Dropbox, but I am unable to.

I'd like to switch my billing over directly to Dropbox instead of through my Apple account on my Iphone. I've spoken to their tech support and they don't have any solutions. I'd like to take advantage of a benefit I have through Adobe, but because it's connected to billing in Apple, it doesn't allow me to get the deal. It says my billing is managed externally. I let my Dropbox plan expire, as advised by Dropbox customer service, but it's been two days since it expired, and with it being my work, I'm concerned about losing my files if I don't get this fixed sooner than later. Does anyone know the steps on how to remove the "inactive" Dropbox subscription from my Apple account? Or on the Dropbox side, how to switch my billing over to Dropbox instead of externally?

My account has been downgraded since March 18th, but it still says billing is handled externally when I login to dropbox. I've tried to click on the link to get the Adobe deal to re-upgrad, and it won't allow me to get the discount. When I go onto Apple, it's saying I would have to wait 180 days for it to drop off, even though I don't have a paid plan anymore.

Hi there, hvanheel, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

Indeed, to change your billing method from Apple iTunes to Dropbox directly, you need to cancel your subscription, wait for the account to get downgraded and then re-upgrade directly from our website.

You mentioned that your plan has expired, but did your account downgrade? Or are you still on your paid plan?

If you are, you'll need to wait for the downgrade before you can re-upgrade.

Your files will still be safe, even in that meantime; only syncing will stop for your account until you re-upgrade.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any questions.
