Is there a cheaper plan than Dropbox Plus?
Many people do not need 2TB of data. So $9.99 a month is waste of money. But $0.99 a month for 50-100GB would be great with a 4 device limit. And perhaps another tier of 500GB for $2.99/month with a ...
Well then, I barely see this "complete solution" or "way more functionality" at all.
And if it "hurts" their model that hard, to have fall back to such a customer-unfriendly price tiering, well, just one more reason to stick with my alternatives. I had hoped for some change, but if there is no will, fair enough.
And indded, there are some special functions for business owners and stuff. Cool. >80% of people couldn't care less. You can defend it of course, but this doesn't change the fact that many people are unhappy and will certainly NOT upgrade to the expensive and overkill 2TB solution. The gap between 2GB and 2TB is way too big, no other cloud hoster comes even close.

Super User IIBelieve me - I'd love a smaller plan, but, I also use some of the other things.
However, Dropbox as a company need to remain profitable to stay in business. If they dont they wont - and cutting income has been shown that it wont increase profits or revenue.
