I am trying to subscribe to a plan, and I get this message instead of being able to sign up: Your plan and billing information are managed externally

Are you both using the Basic plan at the moment? Is it possible that you're already subscribed to a plan, that's managed by Apple or Google?

I am on the basic plan at the moment. We have been on the Plus plan for 3 years, it was on the wrong credit card and it was mistakenly reported as fraudulent and a chargeback was issued. Our plan reverted to Basic, I am trying to re-sign up for Plus to regain the Plus services with the correct credit card.

Yes. I tried to use a different browser, and it did not help. ALSO, I thought the issue might be because my credit card needed updated, but when I tried to update my credit card, I get the error "You can’t update your billing information because Credit Card doesn’t support None currency.". I'm not sure if these two issues are related or not.

I keep getting a "Your plan and billing information are managed externally." message and I cannot upgrade to plus.
I had a plus account, then was added to a family account by mistake. I messaged one of the dropbox chat yesterday and it said I should leave the family, downgrade to basic, then I can upgrade back to plus. I did as instructed, and I kept getting that message. We even asked the person who added us to the family and we are removed on their end.
I messaged the dropbox again yesterday who said try incognito and it gave the same error message. Then directed me to IT, so I wrote a message abut I haven't heard back.
This is day 3 issue now with "Your plan and billing information are managed externally." and I cannot use my dropbox.
