Can I get notifications about a file being deleted or saved on the iOS app?
I am using iPhone 16 Pro IOS 18.5 with Dropbox app installed
Please confirm: what are the settings so that I get a notifications when a file is moved out of Dropbox or saved?

6 months agoI'd be happy to clarify! If you get a new file added to your Dropbox account from another device, say for example you are using camera uploads on your phone, and it's uploading images, then when those files sync to your desktop machine, you'll get that notification saying a new file (or files) have been added to your account.
What Mark was saying was that you'll see that desktop notification only if you're currently logged into that machine at the time. Mobile devices won't get any notifications about new files added to your Dropbox account.

Jay do you mean that mobile devices never get notifications? Please would you confirm?

Hey User34, what Jay means is that you won't get a notification on your mobile device about a file being added to your account.
The Dropbox app on your mobile device will send you other types of notifications, for example when someone shares a folder with you, or the security code needed to sign in to your account on another device, or if your account is full.
