Email notifications stopped for shared folders

This problem has not been resolved. One of the folders that I'm following where I'm supposed to receive an email any day with activity has had editing chances made twice in the last week and I was notified of neither.
However, the other folder was edited and I did receive the email notifying me of the same.
I have decided I cannot rely on Dropbox's email notifications, I have to check the site myself.
