How can I turn the sound off on notifications?
How do I silence the sound for syncing notifications?

You can actually go to Settings, Select Notifications & Actions and then scroll down where the Dropbox icon is shown and turn off the noticiation settings (Banners and Sounds)
You can actually click on it and select what you want to have with Notifications

On Windows 10 you can go to Notifications & Actions (type it in the search field in at the Start button). Scroll down to Dropbox and click on it. You can then turn off the sound and leave the other type notification on.

This does not work. I've followed your instructions to the tee and Windows 10 still plays the chime when files are changed/synced. Here's a screenshot showing both dropboxes are disabled. But I still hear that stupid chime.

Then you have a problem with Windows 10. I can confirm that setting Dropbox notifications to Off on that screen does infact disable notifications completely. You can also just click Dropbox on that screen (instead of clicking the on/off switch) and further customize the notifications so that sounds are disabled but the notification still appears.
These are all settings within the Notifications screen in Windows 10.

And as I've read, this hasn't worked for previous people in the thread either. Is there any other ideas/solutions to this problem? I don't have this problem with any other app notifications other than DropBox as I've customized plenty of other apps to suit my needs.

Okay, y'all are gonna love this. I have my Dropbox account on my girlfriend's laptop (I'm sure you can already see where this is going) and it'd sit behind me on her desk and everytime it'd sync it'd play it on her laptop. In my defense though, her laptop is unplugged and lid is closed and I had no idea the thing was even on because none of the lights were on. I feel like an idiot, sorry for wasting your time Rich.
