I get notified when anyone does anything
I get a notification anytime someone in a shared folder opens a file, comments to someone else or anything. I get so many notifications that I miss ones that are actually intended for me.
I don't see anywhere to change these notification options to be only get a notification when I am tagged.
Is this possible to change?

Hey natasha123, happy Monday!
You should be able to choose what kind of notifications you get on your Dropbox icon, by following the steps here.
If you need anything else, please let us know.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, but I do not see any options in notifications to select Only received notifications if I am personally tagged. I receive a notification if anyone does something in a folder a created. My team members however only receive a notification when they are personally tagged.

Hey natasha123, sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify if you're referring to email notifications, notifications on the website or in-app notifications perhaps?
Also, are you part of a team account or are you using an individual one?
Do you happen to be following the mentioned shared folder by any chance?

Hi Walter!
I get notified by email, and by notifications on the web and app anytime anyone does anything in the DB folders that I have created. It is a team account. I don't know if I am following the shared folder. How do I check that?
thanks!

Hi natasha123, can you try to change your notification preferences by following these steps:
Sign in to dropbox.com.
Hover over the folder you’d like to change notification preferences for, and click the “…” (ellipsis).
Click Following.
Click Manage options.
Choose which actions you’d like to be notified about and how often you’d like to receive notifications.
Click Confirm. If you follow the same steps, and click the three dots ... you can also see the options Following and then Unfollow, if you wish to unfollow the folder.
Let's try that for now, and see if the behavior changes, or remains the same.

Thank you for that advice.
When I manage the options under Following, there are only options to be notified when a file is added or deleted. I get notified if someone opens a file, makes a comment to anyone, or edits a file. Is there another place with more specific notification options?

Hi natasha123! I hope you’re doing well.
If you don’t mind, can you upload a screenshot of the said notifications you keep receiving on your end, so that we can have a look for you?

Here are screenshots of the emails I receive and the notifications within the website. You can see that my name is Natasha, and these are not directed towards me. From what I can tell, I am not following any of these folders. I don't see an options to "unfollow".

Hi natasha123, thank you for the screenshots!
In there, I can see that it's mostly comments on specific folders. Have you tried unsubscribing from the comments of these folders?

Hi,
It seems like that's the case, but I can't figure how to unsubscribe or unfollow. The only option I see is to start following.
