I got a popup on my device asking me to upgrade, even though notifications are off.

I have always left "Do not disturb" to on and disabled all app notifications in my windows 11 system settings.  Today Dropbox posted a big popup in the center of the screen while I was doing somethin...

Yep this is normal behavior from Dropbox  - even with all notifications off, you'll get: survey invitations, upgrade offers, tips.

    Jay​ is D P​ 's comment correct?  That's completely unacceptable for any application.  Some tasks can't be interrupted.

      Keep in mind that if you notice the same thing in the future, I'd also love to have a visual of the popup message too.

      Created an account just to confirm mrswap​'s issue—the fact that the pop up is also a persistent overlay with no way to close it (aside from clicking the button and then immediately closing the browser or finder window) is a UX war crime IMO.
