Thanks for sharing this feedback with us! I've shared this with our Product team so that it's on their radar and we can see what's possible.
This may take time to be reviewed but in the meantime I've moved this out of our Ideas section, as I believe I actually have a workaround for this issue that you can try right now!
You can delete a couple of entries in your registry that enable the Dropbox options in your Windows context menu. Editing the registry incorrectly can break things though, make a backup first.
- Press Win + R, type regedit, hit Enter.
- Navigate to one or both of these keys:
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
- Look for entries named DropboxExt (sometimes with numbers, e.g. DropboxExt1, DropboxExt2).
- Right-click → Delete the DropboxExt entries.
- Close Registry Editor and restart Explorer (Ctrl+Shift+Esc → find Windows Explorer → right-click → Restart).
Let me know how you get on with this.

Hi Neal,
The suggested solution did not work for me. I deleted the mentioned entries at both *\shellex and Directory\sellex but still I have the Dropbox entries at my File Explorer menu. Thanks, though, for the suggestion.

Even if they had gone away, they would have just come back the next time the Dropbox application updated itself. It's not a permanent solution.
