Has my Dropbox been compromised? A file was shared with me and it looks like a phishing attempt.
I received a notification in my Dropbox account which states - "Human Resources invited you to view the file Employee Discretionary Bonus.paper"
Now this is clearly a phishing attempt but I am...

Hey anadin, thanks for posting on the forum.
Itâs possible that this is a phishing attempt indeed, especially if you werenât expecting any such file. The file may not show among the rest of your files/folders unless you add it from your Shared tab here (again, if you believe this isnât legit, please donât add it to your account).
As for your Dropbox account, this doesnât mean itâs been hacked. However, you can always double check your Security page for any unknown browsers/devices being connected to your Dropbox account. One extra security step is to reset your Dropbox password and enable two-step verification.
Finally, you can always report the file you received to abuse@dropbox.com directly.
