How can I access the files of a deceased user's account?

Greetings,   I have been searching for a few important files in my company's SharePoint database for an older project that has stalled but will soon be up and running. I found some of the files...

Unless the files were shared with someone else that still has them, there would be no way for you to access files that were in someone else's account.
