How to delete old eMail from my account?

Dear all,

I am running the Basic plan and want to access it from my MacBook and my iPhone using the App. Long ago, I once created an account using an eMail that does no longer exisit.

I just created a new account and do see my root path in finder. A colleague sent me an invitation to a folder, we want to work in together. Now, I get a message, telling me that not both eMails (the new one used today) and the old one (I want to erase from the system) can be used in parallel.

Any smart idea, how to kill the old and be happily working with the new one ?

Thanks in advance...

Hey eva_l, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community.

Can you please clarify what you'd like to do? Do you want to change the email address associated with your old Dropbox account?

And would you mind sending us a screenshot of the email you received about the old and the new emails?

Once I have this info, I'll be able to assist you further.

    Thanks!

      Hi,

I have an old drop box account and I also have a shared drop box account. I want to delete the email on the shared account and use the email on my old account. Every time I try and use my email it says already exists. If I delete my old account. with the email also be deleted the database and will I be able to use it for the shared account?

        Hi MDH1,

Yes, exactly. In your situation that should work. Before that, keep in mind that once an account gets deleted nothing contained there can be restored; save in advance all things you may want keep. 😉

        Good luck.
