I registered to Dropbox with my AppleID and now, I can't delete my Dropbox account.

Hello,

I am trying to delete my Dropbox account that was initially registered using my AppleID. When I try to delete my account on the iPhone app, it gives me an error saying "something went wrong, an unknown error occurred". This makes it impossible to delete on iPhone app.

I have tried doing the same thing by logging in to my account on different browsers on my computer, and it gives me an error when i submit my account deletion request with the following error:

I need help deleting my account please. Is there someone from the Dropbox team that could help me out with this issue? Thank you

Thanks for posting this here, anonymous, and for the screenshot you’ve attached!

When registering with your AppleID, did you also choose the option to “hide your email”? If yes, there should be a random email address generated using this domain “@privaterelay.appleid.com”. Can you please clarify if this is what you see here

In the meantime, I’d also like you to test this via an incognito window on your current web browser and check if the same error appears.

Let me know how it goes.
