3 months agoHi swap0, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and Iām sorry to hear this happened.
From what I understand, you were invited to join a Dropbox team with your personal plan, and now it seems that your Dropbox account has been deleted. Is this correct?
First, it's very important for me to state that when someone joins a Dropbox team, the account and the content within become subject to the admin's control, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
With that in mind, in order to be able to regain access to the files, one needs to contact the team admin and ask them to restore their membership and then convert their Dropbox account to a personal plan.
Having said that, if this is something you've already tried, then it would be best to get in touch with our support team directly. If you've already done that, please make sure to share your ticket ID here, so that I can check the progress of your help request and add an internal note from my side, highlighting the urgency of the request.
Other than that, Iāll be here in case you need something else.

Dont log multiple ones. Every time you do you go to the back of the queue with all of them. It may be worth closing the old tickets at http://www.dropbox.com/support (or unanswered one)
Also, they cannot give you the data or account back the ONLY person who can is the Admin of the team because you agreed to that transfer of data when you joined the team. It tells you this when you sign up. It tries to force you to NOT do it. When you sign up, they become the owner of the account and the data. There is nothing, at all, illegal with this.
You need to log legal action, if relevant (i.e. if theyve actually done anything wrong) with the relevant employment tribunals etc. where you are against your employer.
Also, to add, Dropbox isnt open on a weekend so no replies will be received to your tickets etc. until Monday at earliest.
