Turn off email notifications for file request uploads.

Hi there. We run a community radio station, and people are constantly uploading new audio files to us, so our email account is getting bombarded with notifications every time a new file arrives. We check our Dropbox account regularly, so these notifiations are completely unnecesssary, and we would like to have the option of turning them off. I looked through the Dropbox forums, and it appears as though other users have been requesting this feature for many years, but you still haven't implemented it! Can you pleae take this into consideration?

Thanks for submitting this idea, radiofreemontclair. While your idea is gathering support in the community, a measure you can implement in the meantime is to create a filter in your email to route those messages away from your inbox.

Assuming you're using gmail. click the gear > See all settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses > Create a new filter. In the "Subject" field, enter the exact phrase you get from file request uploads from Dropbox.

Hi radiofreemontclair , just thinking I may be able to help . There was a related content specific to your request , you may want to check this link : https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001019/deactivate-file-request-upload-notification/657881  .

This was the suggested solution :

"There is no option to disable that particular notification. If you don't want to see the emails, create a rule in your mailbox that automatically archives or deletes them."

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you
