Re: Backup of External Drive

Backup of External Drive

I set Dropbox to back up my external drive and it did.

But then after I rebooted the computer, it seems to stop updating. I checked the latest backup date, it is still the date before the reboot (a few days ago). And, the backup status said "unplugged" despite my drive being plugged in and working perfectly. How do I fix the problem?

Thanks.

Hi @Walter and @Megan. I unplugged and re-plugged the drive, which seemed to have triggered the backup again. I wonder why I have to do this each time I reboot.

Thanks.

Hey @PabJ, sorry to hear about this.

Could you please try unplugging the drive, rebooting your computer and re-plugging the drive anew?

Let me know how it goes!

Hi @Walter. I'm remote so I can't physically unplug the drive now. I can try next week but I wonder if it will be like this every time I reboot my computer. I travel a lot and I need my remote desktop to function as expected.

Thanks.
