Ok. Got it updated. I enabled sync again for the offended folder:
Then I told not to sync the "Engine" under ".vs".
Then I started the Visual Studio with this project. I did a change in a file and compiled it.
Almost at once, this happened:
I need to close VS for this error to go away.
The Browse.VC.opendb is located in ...\Engine\.vs\Engine\v17\
And the 13ff... file in ..\Engine\.vs\Engine\FileContentIndex\
Both in the area not synced.
Other files that gets problems are the mention .pdb files that Dropbox grabs to fast and l am unable to compile project as VS don't get access to them. If the ignored worked, that should not be a problem. Typical error:
...\Engine\<project name>\server.cpp(1,1): error C1090: PDB API call failed, error code '3': ...\Engine\<project name>\x64\Debug\vc143.pdb
The "..\Engine\<project name>\x64" folder is also not synced and in my opinion, dropbox should not touch it.

Yes it’s the same for me! If I close VS then eventually the problem will go away. I’m pretty sure VS does some cleaning when you close it and they delete these temporary files. It’s still odd though that Dropbox tries to sync them.
