Cannot login and install with new PC. Security code is invalid even if it's correct
I have been struggling with the installation on my new PC laptop. It asks for SECURITY CODE but it says invalid even if it's not.
Now I reached the number of attempts to login and my account is loc...

Hey there,
The issue is cleared up!
For the record, when I attempted to log in with my new credentials, it would send a code to my email, for the purpose of verification. When I would attempt to use the code in Dropbox Desktop, it would first throw a longer (very nonspecific) error message (which I cannot recall now), and then subsequent attempts to use the code would merely throw an "Invalid code" error. In other words, the email verification codes simply wouldn't work.
On a whim, I reset my Dropbox password again through the web portal, then used the new password in Dropbox Desktop, and now everything seems to be fine. But I appreciate the prompt response!

Can you please send us a screenshot of the error you're getting after entering the security code in the app? Just make sure none of your personal info is shown there.
If you happen to be running an antivirus or firewall on your computer, you can also try disabling them temporarily.
Let me know of the results!
