Apps and Installations

I recently reloaded the app to reinstall on my Mac Pro desktop.
According to the download page:
When you download and install the Dropbox desktop app, two things are added to your computer:
The icon was NOT added to my menu bar.
Every time I click on the Dropbox app in the applications folder it opens a Finder window.
How can I get it back in the dock?
There isnt a Dock application any more. That has been removed.
If you are clicking the icon and getting Finder thats a setting which has been altered in the app. Try and ctrl+click on the icon and then click on your little icon at the top right and preferences. That will let you in and you can change the settings

I don't have an icon to click on in my dock.
Is there any other way to accomplish this?

I checked as you asked in order to do a screen shot.
However FORCE QUIT does not show Dropbox as running.
However, the app is showing in the task bar. Clicking on the Dropbox logo in the task bar does show the app as active and the programs that I have that use Dropbox as a sync are showing as up to date from the last time I modified data in the program. The updated files are showing in the programs on my iPad and MacBook Pro (M1Max) that are using Dropbox to sync changes in program input between my Mac Pro desktop and the iPad and the MacBook Pro.
Hope this helps further.
Thanks

When I click on the Dropbox icon in the menu bar this is what I see:
When I click on Dropbox.app in Finder it opens a new Finder window showing Dropbox files.
