Hi @assma-MU, happy Friday!

I'm happy to confirm, that you're safe to delete your Dropbox cache, and your files in the account will be intact.

I hope that helps. Have a lovely weekend ahead, enjoy!

the clear catch button is different one and that one I already use
I'm asking abt "clear data" one
my other concern that it might make me loss my log in data on that device. If so it will be difficult to log in again since I already have the account on three other devices.

I hope my concern is clear

Hi @assma-MU, the clear data button should clear any login details, so I don't recommend doing that if you're already above the 3 device limit on Dropbox Basic plans.

The "Clear Data" button in the Application Info section of your Android device will only clear data and files that are stored locally on your device for the selected application. It will not delete any files on your Dropbox account or in any other cloud storage service.

When you use the "Clear Data" option, it will delete all data associated with the selected application, including your login credentials, app settings, cache files, and any user-generated data. It will not affect any files stored on external storage or cloud services like Dropbox.

Long story short, it is safe to clear cache, but you should think twice before deleting data on your Dropbox.
