Can a user easily access a link on their Dropbox account?

Can a user easily access a link on their Dropbox account?

Dear community,

I want to share a folder with my friends. Making it a shared folder and adding this to their overview does not work. The folder is too large, it does not fit in their storage space.
For that reason I send them a link to my folder. That works fine.
A shared folder can be added to the Dropbox overview of the receivers. Via that way they have always easy and fast access.
Is this also possible with a link?

Kind regards,
John

Thanks for posting your question on the forum, @JohnDeLange!

If I got it right, you created a shared link for your friends and sent it over to them, right?

At the moment, it’s not possible to do exactly what you’re asking on the Dropbox website and desktop app.

However, if they open your shared link on their mobile device and they have the Dropbox mobile app installed there, they should be able to see your shared link under their Home tab > Viewed links section.

Hope this helps with what you’d like to do.
