I am not able to share a link on an "App" folder, why?

I am not able to share a link on an "App" folder, why?

I am at my wits end!!!!! I have been sharing a link to an app folder for years. The folder identifies that a "shared link is available." Yet, I can't seem to get a link that my new bookkeeper can use without her having to log into my Dropbox account.

I am using the Chrome browser on Mac OS v 13.2. When I control click on the folder I want to share, it is giving me a public URL, not an encrypted one. For the life of me I can't find an encrypted URL to share, or what the "shared link is available" actually is. I can't believe the time I have spent on this and am getting no where.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I dont actually think its ever been allowed actually - so it must have been a bug that allowed it to share in the first place.

Hi @TeriDragon

Is this a folder inside of the 'App' folder on Dropbox?

If so I dont believe its possible to share links to those folders.

Yes, that appears to be the issue. However, why does the page still say there is a link available and when was this changed? I've had that as a shared app for many years and don't recall receiving notification that it wouldn't work anymore. Frustrating time suck!
