I cannot tell from the dropbox dashboard what is happening, there is just not support to give a view of data usage in syncing activities as far as I can find???

In 4 days 1.5 Terabytes of internet usage, does this sounds like something dropbox would do?

Currently, there isn't a feature like that which would notify you if there is a large movement of files, or if they're being downloaded.

If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future.

Hi @Mmballew88, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This level of activity would suggest that some changes have been made somehow, such as files being moved, marked as offline, or new files being added from the web.

When viewing the app, is there any information in the sync history?

This will help me to assist further!

I had noticed yesterday or day before that some large number of files was syncing on my wife's desktop, I thought it was something I had done, but now Comcast tells me that it's been going on for 4 or 5 days, so I am thinking a mistake was made with folders to set it off.  It would be helpful to have a feature that would alert to some anomalous occurrence, not hard to get a shell script to fire on some threshold of activity that's not been seen in recent history. or have a 'are you sure' prompt when someone moves a top level folder that would trigger such an event, who knows maybe there was something and she didn't understand, she's not tech savvy, for now I've suspended all syncing, it would also be helpful to have machine level view online so that one can manage these issues from server/cloud side.  I found her desktop was so backup on processes I could barely get dropbox respond.
