not all camera uploads not showing in photos iphone app

Hi

Not all, but some of my camera uploads from my iphone are showing in the photos section of the app and online.

I use the ios app as normal and it shows that they are uploading. They all upload into the camera uploads section but only a few of them are showing in the photos section. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app but the problem is still the same.  I have also noted that the photos in the camera upload section show a little duller than they do in the photos section. Any ideas?

Thanks

Would also like to add that it is the same with the desktop version. Only showing a few of the iploaded photos in the photo section.

Hi @mlerrigo, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

How large are the images that aren't previewing in the Photos tab?

Do they have any filters on them, are they screenshots or just normal camera photos?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi

These are all normal iphone 14 pro photos and videos. Videos are very short. I've never had this problem before and it's only just happened. I've just had the same happen today. I uploaded about 8 photos and they have uploaded to camera uploads but are not showing in the photos tab both on my phone and online.

Thanks

Matt

Edit:- Think I've sorted out what the problem is. The photos that wouldn't show in the photos tab were taken with the ProRAW setting. Really large file sizes, with the .dng file suffix rather than .heic. If I take photos with that setting turned of they show up in the photos tab. Nonetheless, it would be nice if you could ask your software guys to be able to have ProRAW photos be able to be seen in the photos tab. Thanks
