Can't "Save As" excel file (Mac) to Dropbox

Can't "Save As" excel file (Mac) to Dropbox

I have an excel workbook saved to a Dropbox folder. I did some edits and would like to "save as" with a different name. However, when i click save as, I don't see saving to dropbox as an option. It simply disappeared as a "location", and when i try to "add" a location, dropbox is not one of the options given. Any ideas why this is happening? I'm using excel for mac. I am connected to the internet, and dropbox is running in the background/syncing. Thanks!

Hi @zevjk1, let's see what we can do here.

Out of curiosity, does the Dropbox folder come up as an option under File Locations when you go to the Preference menu in Microsoft Word?

Also, are you running the latest version of the desktop app?

You can check this by hovering of the Dropbox icon on your menu bar.

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there. Thanks!

Hi Lusil,

Dropbox does NOT come up under 'File Locations' in MS Word. I'm running DB version 108.4.453. I'm not sure if that is the latest, but i believe the software auto-updates, and i restarted it, so everything should be current (I think).

This issue started today out of the blue... I don't know what changed.

thanks

zev

Have you tried rebooting your computer by any chance?

Also, make sure that you don't have any pending updates on your OS.
