Comments disappearing from a video file in Dropbox

Comments disappearing from a video file in Dropbox

Comments were posted on a video file timeline for the editor to action. They were posted on Monday, still there on Tuesday but gone when the file was viewed today, Thursday. They have not been actioned or resolved and the file has not changed. It is still the same version.

How do we get the comments back? It's a 17 minute video with lots of comments.

Hi @sscnz, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Is it possible that the creator of the comments deleted them on the video?

This will help me to assist further!

No. Nobody on this side did anything. The comments just disappeared and were no longer there when the video file was opened yesterday.

Are you using Dropbox Replay to track each version of your video, or is this a normal video in your Dropbox account?

A normal video file in the Dropbox. Uploaded by the editor for a couple of us to view and comment on, so they continue editing and upload an updated version.

Is there definitely no version history to revert to, in order to see if any comments would return?

No. The Video file was uploaded 3.51pm 10 May and has only been viewed to add comments. There are no other versions.

Are you suggesting there are versions based on viewing and adding comment?

There are no other versions appearing under 'Activity'. There is only one version.

Hi from me as well, @sscnz

Can you also take a look here? Do you see any events regarding this video file that could explain what possibly happened?
