Hi there, if I upgrade my account, can I recuperate files which were deleted more than 30 days ago?  I appear to heave deleted a large number of files and have checked the deleted files folder but they are not there. I'm not sure when the last sync took place but have checked all the folders in my account and cannot find the missing files. Thank you

No, upgrading now will not allow you to recover files deleted more than 30 days ago. The extended recovery time is only for files deleted after you upgrade. Files you deleted more than 30 days ago are already gone.

Hi there.

Some time ago, I deleted files from my drobox, and I would need to get them back. I currently have the basic plan and the question is: if i upgrade to one of the paid plans, how old files I can get back? 3 months? a month? a Year?

Hi @Szajba, welcome to our Community!

Unfortunately, even if you upgrade, you still wouldn't be able to restore content that was deleted more than 30 days ago, since the recovery of deleted files isn't retroactive.

I hope this clarifies.

How to restore deleted files from 2 years ago on Dropbox.

Hi @Conrad , I hope you're doing well!

Do you have an extended version history purchased with your plan, before the deletion happened?

If not, then I'm afraid that there's no way for you to recover content that was deleted so far back, since we only help with files deleted less than 30 days ago.

I hope this clarifies!

Hi, some important files were deleted from my dropbox on the 27/03... I have a basic account. So 3 days to late to get them back. If I suscribe right now a professional access with 180 days of recovery, is there any change to find these files back ?

Hi @maxiyan,

No, unfortunately. 😕 Changing subscription isn't retroactive in that context. 🤷

If I upgrade my plan can I recover my deleted photos 40days ago?

Hi @Franciane, thanks for posting here today!

Please note that extended version history is not retroactive - the history of the revisions starts from the date of eligibility.

Any files that were deleted more than 30 days ago will not be made recoverable with the purchase of our plans.

I hope this clarifies, please let me know if you have any more questions.
