Trying to copy part of a document held in Dropbox but paragraph breaks are created

Trying to copy part of a document held in Dropbox but paragraph breaks are created

I have both Word and pdf. documents stored in Dropbox.

For the first time today when a paragraph is highlighted using Copy there are breaks in the blue highlights and when the paragraph is pasted into a Zoom chat box it becomes fragmented and difficult to read.

In addition I am unable to use delete on the highlighted words.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks.

Thank you for your help

Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?

Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.

Hi @Marge49, thanks for joining the Community!

Does this occur for both Word and PDF files when selecting text?

Where are you selecting text from? Directly on the Dropbox site or via a third party app/service?

Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Hi Jay

This occurs in both pdf and Word files when using the cursor to select text when on the Dropbox site.  I am a member with edit permission but even the Word files cannot be edited when on the Dropbox site.  I note that I am invited to comment on text.

I also access my Dropbox files from my computers.  Then the files are opened in Word, are fully editable and when text is selected there are no gaps

On the Dropbox site the same problem occurs if I am the owner.  We noticed it first when someone opened the Dropbox site from a link so they could copy and paste.  This had been working well prior to last Saturday.

Let me know if there is any further information I can give for you to look into this.

Thank you for any help you are able to give.
