I kept trying to find my account due to the wrong password, but there was no answer to support inquiries, etc.

You can just request a reset of your password via www.dropbox.com/forgot

I entered the wrong password several times and the account became inactive.

Do you get any errors when trying to access your account? If so, what would the error say?

How do you mean 'became inactive' ?

 

If you have had warnings that the account was due to be disabled for inactivity and that time frame has now passed I'm afraid the account is now lost
