Windows junk messages from DropBox - How to stop?

Windows junk messages from DropBox - How to stop?

T F.1

I have a Win11 PC, with 2 users.

Only use DB with one User, not the other.

I keep getting junk messages on the other User account, asking it to sign up to DB.

How can I stop this?

A big box comes up on the screen asking the User to open a DB account.

Is there any way to stop this junk?

Thanks

Hey @T F.1, sorry to hear about this.

Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact message you're getting so that we can have a visual too?

Also, did you install the desktop app with admin privileges on the Windows profile you're using it?

Any additional information is more than welcome!

I'll do this but the junk message only comes up once a month.
A big box on the screen asking that user to join DropBox.

I cannot find any way of getting rid of this annoyance.

I don't know about permissions.

Thanks

Hey @T F.1, please do send us a screenshot, when you get this again.

By the way, is it a desktop notification or an email?

It is a bit stupid box that comes up on the screen of the other user account in my Windows 11 PC.

I cannot find how to get rid of it.

I use this other account to play videos.

Why DB keeps telling me to open an account, I don't know.

A big box comes up and tells me to open an account in that User account.

I just want to get rid of this junk

Thanks

Will do, the junk sign only comes up every few weeks.

Can't you just tell me how to turn this off, as it is in another user account in Win11 where DB is not used or installed.

Thanks

Sorry to jump in here, @T F.1.

Not sure if this is something that can be turned off, that's why we need the screenshot, in order to investigate a bit.

Once you see the message again and have the screenshot, please send it along.

Thanks!
