I am on the 5 TB plan. Deleted 1TB in the webapp. Now it says 4TB used in the webapp, but on my Mac app it keeps saying 5TB used.
- Restarted the Mac App,
- Reinstalled the Mac App
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Dropbox is a critical product to our business, but this really sucks...

Hi Hannah! Thank you for your help! It has been solved by the dropbox chat. 'The team space usage associated with a team member's account, is automatically updated from the system every 6-8 hours. You will also be able to notice these updates taking place next to each member's name every 6-8 hours, in the Members tab of the Admin Console, where the storage space for each member account is calculated individually to see this information from your end as the Admin.'

Hi @domienvandamme1, welcome to our Community!

As a first step, can you clarify the app's syncing status, along with the version that you're using? We need to make sure that the app is up-to-date, and not syncing any changes.

Also, in regards to the 5TB of content, that you see on your Mac, how did you check for those? Did you check the properties of your Dropbox folder, or did you do something different?

If you have any screenshots, they are more than welcome. Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Megan!

Thanks for helping me!

In the following 2 screenshots you can see the difference between the webapp and mac app.

I am on dropbox v173.4.6706

Files are waiting to sync

But I can make files available offline

It isn't just a local issue for me, because the whole team has the same issue.

Hi @domienvandamme1, thank you for the info, Domien!

Can you try quitting the app, and then re-launching it again? After you do that, can you hover over your little Dropbox icon on the menu bar, and let me know what it reports?

Hi Megan,

When I quit the app it keeps trying to sync the same files.

When I remove the app and I reinstall it, this is gone. But when I want to upload a new file it is not possible and I get syncing issues again

Hey @domienvandamme1, sorry to jump in here.

Is the application stuck on trying to sync these 3 files?

If so, are you able to locate them in your Dropbox folder, move them out of the folder, to see if that allows syncing to get "up to date"?

Then try to restart the computer and check the usage on the application again and let us know if there's any change.
