Sync Dropbox to External HD

Sync Dropbox to External HD

Hey there, sorry if this has been answered but I've searched and can't find one and my brain is melting. I see loads on syncing your external hard drive to dropbox but is it possible to sync dropbox to an external hard drive? I just want to be able to have an external backup, but one in which if I make changes to a folder (i.e. delete, reorganise etc) the external HD will reflect those changes. Any help greatly appreciated.

No, Dropbox has no such feature. While you can store your Dropbox folder on an external drive (highly NOT recommended due to possible data loss), there's no option to have your local Dropbox folder also sync to an external drive. You can use a third-party sync tool, such as SyncToy if you're on Windows, to accomplish that.
