We use drop in our remodeling business. There are always lots of before, after, and during pictures. Upon downloading the most recent update to the software we noticed that the app is very useful for file access but does not allow scrolling throught pictures the way it used to. Is there something we are missing it? It is very inconvenient to have to close each picture and open the next one in a new window each time.

Thanks for the additional info, @mmartin131

Could you check if you have an option for a Dropbox preview after clicking on one of the photos in the folder? More specifically:

  1. Open the desktop app.
  2. Open the folder you have all your photos in.
  3. Click on a photo in the folder.
  4. On the right side of the desktop app, click on the Open option.
  5. Select Dropbox preview on the drop-down menu.

Let me know if this helps!

Hi there @mmartin131, welcome to the Dropbox Community!

I'd be more than happy to help look into this, I'll just need a bit more info, such as:

  • Are you previewing the photos through the desktop app, your Finder/File Explorer, the mobile app, or the website?
  • Are you looking at the photos through a third party app by any chance?
  • Are the photos all in one folder?

Let me know what you find!

We use the desk top app and file explorer sometimes to be able to scroll.

Thanks for getting back to me, @mmartin131

Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you unable to see or use the scroll bar that should be on the right-hand side of the desktop app and your File Explorer?

Or are you referring to a presentation-like preview of the photos?

Keep me posted!

hopefully this helps.

Open desktop app--> open folder of pictures--> double click to open a picture.

Prior to update we could switch between pictures using side arrows once a picture was opened, now we can't. Is there setting that will allow this feature or is it just gone?

That gets the pictures to scroll. Thanks

Still liked the old arrows better!
