Is there a way to send an email blast containing a dropbox file link to a group of ten recipients - and then I can see when each recipient accesses and views the file.  I would like to see their email address in ACTIVITY and not the standard phrase A "GUEST" VIEWED the file.

Hi @bt22, thanks for contacting us!

If you restrict the shared link to people invited to the link, they would need to login to their own Dropbox account to view it.

This will give you the ability to see if people have accessed your file.

Keep me updated with any progress!

Thank you Jay, one other, related question:

Is there a way to copy the invite link into an email blast - instead of only sending the invite from dropbox?

here is an example of what I am trying to do:

1.  lets say I am a real estate sales person and I want to send prospective clients a link to view a house that is for sale.

2.  The photos of the house are in my dropbox.

3.  I prepare an email blast to 10 prospective clients and paste the dropbox link into the email blast.

4.  All the recipients have dropbox accounts

4.  When they open the email and click the dropbox link and view the dropbox photo files - I would like to see those who view it by their   email address.

Is this doable?

Hi @bt22, how are you today?

This wouldn't work on shared links.

It sounds like viewer info would do the trick for you, however in order for this to work you would need to actually invite people on the file or folder. However, you should be able to see more on the activity of the file.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate.

I would really like to see just some basic information about who the "guest viewer" is in the same scenario, the same anonymous still information that can be gleaned from an ip address from where they're accessing - apx location, etc. Can do it with a simple email tracker; no reason it should be difficult here. Could at least post that in the activity column, even if people aren't viewing a shared file link from a dropbox account. Please let me know?
