Hello, Dropbox Team: I recently recommended a colleague to sign up for Dropbox. She's a new user and accepted my referral, downloading the app on her computer. However, my referral status marked as ineligible. Also, her account only has 2GB of storage space without additional bonus 500MB. Hello, I’ve sent several referral invites that were accepted, and the recipients registered and downloaded Dropbox using my referral link. However, each time the referral ends up showing as “Ineligible” after they complete the registration and app installation on their device. Could you please clarify why this is happening and help me resolve the issue? I’d really like to continue using Dropbox rather than switching to another cloud storage service, but I need to understand why the referrals aren’t being credited correctly. Dropbox Plan (Basic.) Device Dell Latitude Ref ticket no 25985012 marked as 'Solved'! It had not been solved, they just referred me here. Explanation: I have invited a colleague to join dropbox on 05/02/26 (email address removed) He has accepted by email link, downloaded the app to his laptop, and also added a file to the app. My bonus has not been added, it states ineligible. He did say he initially tried the email link on a MS Edge browser that needed to be upgraded. Maybe this interfered with the accept and sign in process? However, for some reason, when they complete the entire sign-up process and download the application, their status often shows as "ineligible" in my referral dashboard.
