Is way to difficult and convoluted and took much more time than it should have. This is the worst experience I've had with Dropbox. You normally make things easy. This was a pain in the ass, and for no good reason. I have deleted members months ago, didn't re-assign their licenses and was continuing to get charged. So I wanted to reduce the licenses. It was damn hard to find the way to do this. You should present the links in the same place as the delete team members location......very annoying26KViews21likes28CommentsHow to go from Dropbox Plus Account to Having Family Account
I currently have my own Plus account and realize my wife can't access the images I have there as her account doesn't have enough space. Looks like having a Family account is a good solution so how best to migrate there? Also, I purchased the Plus account through my iOS app, so does that make the whole conversion process different? Thanks!2.2KViews2likes4CommentsMessage from Dropbox about completing date of birth by 1st September or lose Family Plan Access
I received the same email & have the same issue. I can't find where to update the DOB from! This truly frustrating for how much we pay for this service. Not to mention that we store important personal and business data on it. DropBox team, please sort this out!Solved7.9KViews2likes57Comments"This billing country change isn't supported" error when changing my billing information
I receive an error saying "This billing country change isn't supported" when I try to change my credit card for billing as my old one expired. My old card was an Australian card and the new one is a US one. When I choose United States from the dropdown list I receive that error message.Solved16KViews1like27CommentsFeature Request: Support Multiple Dropbox Business/Teams Accounts (Multiple Tenants) in Desktop App
Hi Dropbox team â Iâm posting this as both a long-time Dropbox user and a business owner. Today, the Dropbox desktop app only allows seamless use of one Business (Teams) account (plus optionally one Personal account). This creates a major problem for users who legitimately operate across multiple organizations. Real-world use case Many professionals today are involved with multiple companies at the same time, including: Business owners with multiple entities Holding companies with multiple subsidiaries Consultants / advisors supporting multiple clients Board members and fractional executives PE / investment professionals working across portfolio companies In these cases, we often need separate Dropbox Business tenants for security, compliance, and clean separation. The key point I am not asking for a workaround or a discount. I am willing to pay for multiple Dropbox Business subscriptions â but Dropbox currently does not provide a seamless way to run multiple Business accounts in the desktop app. What competitors already support Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint supports multiple tenants cleanly, for example: OneDrive â Company A OneDrive â Company B Both sync simultaneously and appear natively in File Explorer/Finder. Dropbox currently forces users into clunky workarounds like: Using the browser for the second tenant Switching accounts repeatedly Creating separate OS user profiles Running virtual machines These are not realistic solutions for modern workflows. Why this matters This limitation is not a ânice-to-have.â It is a core enterprise usability issue and increasingly a deciding factor for businesses choosing between Dropbox and Microsoft 365. Dropbox is losing a valuable segment of customers who are willing to purchase multiple accounts â but cannot do so efficiently due to desktop client limitations. Requested solution Please add support for: Multiple Dropbox Business/Teams accounts logged in simultaneously Separate synced folders per tenant Seamless switching and visibility in Finder/File Explorer Clear tenant labeling and separation Even supporting 2+ Business tenants would solve a massive problem for many professionals. Bottom line Dropbox is an excellent product, but this is a fundamental gap. Many of us want to keep using Dropbox and expand our usage across multiple businesses â but we need Dropbox to support the reality of multi-tenant work. Thanks for considering this â I would strongly encourage Dropbox to prioritize this feature. Edward Cook Co-Founder, McCarthy Cook & Co. Hi We have a family plan and the family manager is no longer able to continue in that role for serious health reasons. What we need to do is transfer ownership so that one of the other members within the family plan can take over the role of manager and become responsible for future payments when they are due. Is there a way to do this? Any assistance would be gratefully received.1.8KViews1like8CommentsCancelled free trial but it was supposed to downgrade when the trial period was over
Hi, My free trial was supposed to end 2/26/23 but when I cancelled today, it automatically downgraded my account back to Basic. I used a credit card and per your website, it says it would not downgrade until the end of the trial period: If you cancel your free trial before it ends, you wonât be charged for the plan. When you cancel a free trial: Your account will be downgraded to a free Dropbox Basic plan. If you signed up with a credit card, your account will be downgraded at the end of the trial period. If you signed up with PayPal, your account will be downgraded immediately. Please reactivate my account until the end of my trial period of 2/26/23.Solved3.5KViews1like11Comments
