I am a bit worried on the issue of data security on Dropbox. I just started using it recently, and I wonder if it's also like some platforms that share user data with third-party websites. Because it's annoying how strange people will send emails and SMS to me of something I have no initial knowledge about.
No access to email to receive the security code
Hello i have my dropbox and know wat files i have upload i have my password and my account but i dont have acceses to my mail because the server of the mail was desactivated and my macbook and my iphone are new so how can i sign in without the security code or changing my mail without accesses to my old mail
Restricting the Dropbox desktop app to permitted (company) devices
I have dropbox business for our office and am trying to limit access/installation to company-issued devices. We don't want our employees to install and sync company dropbox account onto their own personal devices due to security reasons. Quite simply, company files are one lost and unsecured computer / laptop away from being lost to the real world. Is there a way to do this?
Why am I seeing guests accessing my Dropbox Paper document?
Hi there, I'm a big fan of Dropbox Paper and been using it for a long while. 2 questions: Is this product still being developed, or will it be sunset at some point? On my Dropbox paper document, I see several badges of many guest users viewed it at the top right corner, although the document is totally private and not shared with anyone. Should I be worried? I access the Dropbox Paper documents mainly through my laptop and sometimes from my iPhone; both are logged into my Dropbox account.Files in shared links show my exact location, why?
I use drop box for a number of things. I just had someone who has been with me for a while with my drop box tell me he got an exact location from my drop box. he sent me a picture of my exact location on that file. This is a huge safety issue. I have an iPhone 16pro Dropbox version : 402.2.2
