I have a dropbox plus account that is connected to an old email address to which I have no access any more. Since my password does not seem to work, I cannot reset it in the usual manner. Any ideas on what to do?37Views0likes4CommentsI'd like a feature that allows me to secure a folder of files with a password for extra protection.
It would be a great idea to implement an extra layer of protection to be able to hide certain files or be able to lock them with a set password within the app since I experience multiple users on multiple machines of mine being able to access most of the files. Therefor I would really benefit from a folder I can lock with my personal password and therefor hide sensitive information or files that should not be accessed by other users but me. I would suggest calling it something like Vault or Hidden Files. This could also be done via integration through the apps, let people decide if they want to install the vault feature or not.69Views2likes5CommentsSomeone used my billing info and am now being charged monthly for a subscription
I noticed on my CC that I’m being charged by Dropbox again. I have only had a free account, so I was puzzled. Investigation resulted in finding someone fraudulently is using my info on an acct. And charging my CC. Obv I want that stopped. How do I report it, and stop further charges? There’s little I can do bcz I only have a basic acct and can’t call customer service. This is very frustrating. Thx.31Views0likes2CommentsNo access to the email address to verify my account
My name is Julio Trostchansky, and my account is registered under the email address [removed per the Community's Guidelines]. Unfortunately, the server for that email domain has been shut down in my country, and I no longer have access to it, which prevents me from verifying my account or recovering access through standard methods. This account contains important folders related to my professional medical activity, including photos and documents, as well as shared folders concerning thoracic surgery that are essential to my work. I kindly request your assistance in recovering access to my Dropbox account or in retrieving these files. I can provide any additional information needed to verify my identity. Thank you very much for your help and understanding.71Views0likes8CommentsCan I see which files the hacker downloaded from my Dropbox account and from which IP address?

Does anyone know how to get assistance on a hacked account? Our CEOs business admin account has been compromised, and she has been kicked out. No one at Dropbox is answering our requests and there is no direct number to talk to a real human. We are panicking since we work with very important data and have deadlines. We need help! She cannot access her account at all, and it is the admin account, therefor she cannot put in a request. We are a paying customer as well. SO frustrating!!66Views1like11CommentsI had an old Dropbox account, but I don't know which email address it was linked to.
Hello, I've had my current Dropbox account for over 10+ years, but before I made this one I also had another Dropbox account. I've tried to log in with all the email addresses I know of but I still haven't managed to find this one. The only thing I do have, is the User ID from sharing a public image many years ago, the image link no longer works but I do have the URL which contains the User ID in the form of: dropbox.com/u/XXXXXXX/image-name.png Is there anything I can do to locate the email address associated with this Dropbox account? Thanks in advance, Michael36Views0likes1CommentRemove security code verification, so we can access the account even without email access.
Hi, While I perfectly know why one would want to have 2fa on their account, this is something I chose *not to* activate. Now for some time Dropbox actually forces us to have access to the email on top of the password. I want to be able to deactivate this setting. I want to be able to access Dropbox at times I don't have access to my email.Solved8.8KViews1like15CommentsHow to delete someone from your Dropbox team without deleting their personal Dropbox account?
Hello, I recently granted action to an external person to our business account. By accident, I wanted to kick her out of the general permission, to grant her access only to one folder. When I did that, her whole personal Dropbox account got deleted. Luckily, I could restore it, but now she is a permanent member of our company dropbox. I am wondering what to do when our joint project will end and she won't need to access our documents.54Views1like5CommentsMy Dropbox profile picture changed to my Google account's, after adding files from Google Drive.
I was logged into my Dropbox account misc...@gmail.com and used that "Upload from Drive" thing to grab some files from my other Google Drive account ish...@gmail.com. But then, out of nowhere, my Dropbox profile pic changed to the profile pic of that ish....gmail.com Google account! That's kinda strange, right? Especially since those are totally different email addresses. It feels kinda wrong that just grabbing files from a Google Drive would mess with my Dropbox profile pic. Imagine if I was pulling stuff from a friend's Drive – I definitely wouldn't want their picture on my Dropbox! \ Just wanted to flag this as something that seems a bit off and maybe not how it's supposed to work.17Views0likes1Comment
