How to get the URL of an image for an HTML email?
I uploaded an image for use in an HTML email, then shared it and copied the link. After putting the link in my email, and testing the email, the image will not show up. It is just a broken link. I have not put it in a shared folder because I did not want users who get the email to be able to access the folder and its contents, but the file itself is shared. Am I using the wrong link?

Excel file macros do not work in shared Dropbox folder.
I have an excel spreadsheet on my desktop computer that uses macros in order to automatically sort my tenants. When i upload this spreadsheet into a shared file folder with my partners, the macros no longer work and the file is not automatically sorting. What is going on. Why does it disable macros?

Sharing a folder and giving someone editing access, but I don't want them affecting my photos.
I want to share a folder that contains photos and I'd like the person I'm sending it to to have editing access so they can save to their own personal folder and be able to edit, crop or send the photos to others. If they make changes to any of the photos, are the changes only in their personal folder on their PC, or do their edits also appear in my folder, or affect the photos in my personal Dropbox folder. I am the owner of the file. I don't want their edits to affect my original photos in any way. I did not see this answer online. Thank you.

Can I use QR codes to have guests upload pictures into my Dropbox account?
I am currently organizing my wedding. One of the ideas that I have is providing guests with a QR code that direct them to my dropbox. The intent is for them to take pictures on the big day and upload them to the file so that after the wedding I can transfer the pics to shutterfly to make a book. When I asked a friend to try the process she was able to get to the file and was able to look at the pics that I have in there. She however was not able to load any of her own into the account and got the notification " this folder is view only". Is there any way that I can change the settings so that everbody that access the QR code can upload pics?

Why is Dropbox suddenly blocking file sharing?

I understand there are some workarounds. Last night I sent off my Christmas message video.. and the link failed. Apparently due to phishing content. But it was my own content. Doh. So my question is.. WHY is Dropbox obstructing this basic cloud storage function? Is it a mistake? Or just a bad policy decision? Of course it is bonkers and annoying. Otherwise, Happy Christmas to all!!

Sharing activity in the desktop app isn't working.
Hi Team, Yesterday, for a reason that I am not sure of(the only thing we did, was add another user with access to a certain dir)...the "sharing activity" has stopped working...we are working on a shared dropbox with several people constantly updating /adding files...and now on the app, you cant see the changes being made... Its on different computers....but tried reinstalling the app, restarting etc...nothing. any help will be appreciated,

I shared 1 file and my sharing activity was paused
So I upload a file to share with a person. I upload it and then share the file with them. I find out I get a file saying first. ========= Security Check It seems like you were banned by our system. To unban yourself, click on the button below. ========= Then I click on the button and then get. =========== Unable to unban account There was a problem. Please contact support for further assistance with removing your temporary ban. =========== When trying to contact support, you can't, so the only way to do so is to post on the forums. Someone from Support will reach out and address this issue. I didn't think sharing a file after uploading it would get a person banned. I can see that doing it tons and tons of times would, but 1 time doesn't seem like it is the cause. Please reach out and let me know if I can do anything to address this issue.

Issues when I'm updating a zip file's contents using the desktop app. "System can't find path"
Ok - I have used dropbox for many years to store files that i share content with friends. I just had a request saying that some of the info in one of the zip files I have shared needs updating. I have done this before - but not for a few years - no problem just opened the zip file, edited the contents, then upon closing answering yes to do you want to update the zip file contents. But today, it just says "The system cannot find the path specified" I am using the Desktop App and it does say that it is synced and up to date. This is causing me a huge problem and significant time and effort for all my files, if I cannot simply edit a zip file on the fly. I have read that using the PC App avoids the download, edit, upload route - which is not an option, as hundreds of people have the link to this specific file address. So upset and tired - dropbox used to easily have this function - especially with the PC App and the files being visiable in a window when I use it. Incredibly frustrating to be told i cannot access my own files. Please advise.
