Can people see a group's name when opening my shared link, and not my real name?
These are critical pre-sale questions. Dropbox Plan: Free, but buying Plus as soon as I have answers to my questions. Payment Method: Will be card. How did you upgrade?: Will be directly through the Dropbox website) Currently on free plan. Want to up upgrade to Plus for a month, then plan to switch to Yearly if this works the first month. (One place the site says there's a trial and then it doesn't. So this is how I have to do it.) Now on to my questions in order to purchase... This account to so people can see photos/documents and download. (It's sharing from our event but not with a free-for-all of people uploading photos.) I created a Folder with our event name and am sharing via Link to that Folder. There will be other folders inside that one. People will see that "main" folder and know they're in the right place. IF I use my name they will be confused. I'd like them to see the Folder Name and email address. But I expect you want a person's name when creating an account. Especially because I see so many people having account problems and there's no human being to help fix issues. So I NEED to know: How can I set my First & Last Name so that Dropbox honors my account and payment and knows I'm legitimate BUT viewers aren't confused? The other issue is that I do not want them to see my name and to be solicited upon arriving at the Link's destination? They see "[Name] shared this folder. Want to do more with it?" Log in/Sign Up." I only want them to see the folder I've set up. I am fine with them seeing a name at the top but not my first/last name. {I thought of putting our common group's name in first/last name but remember... I don't want payment problems.} Lastly, if I pay for 1 month and want to switch to yearly, when do I make that change? I don't want to do it too late. I don't want to do it at say 3 weeks and lose the 4th week. It's not clear when any cancellation takes effect or how far ahead of time it must be done. I don't want to lose everything during a gap or misunderstanding. Hoping for fact-based guidance.
I need to cancel a subscription for an account I can no longer access
I need to cancel my subscription as my dropbox was tied to an email address from an old employer. I can't get assistance from anything online with dropbox. I am just directed to have a password reset and directed to that origiaonl email account, which I no longer have access to. I have tried several tickets with dropbox, but they close the ticket because they think they have resolved my issue I've paid every year over the past number of years over $100 a year. I can't access the benefit of my account because I can't log in to my dropbox with that email. I can't get dropbox to switch to my Gmail and I can't find assistance. I did find the website to mail a cancellation request, which I'll put in the mail today but holy cow, Mail? to cancel???? wow. disapointed with my customer service experience trying to switch my account over to an email I have access to. any assistance is appreciated as I mail the 1950's paper letter asking to cancel my account. Unknown charges on our credit card. How can I contact Dropbox about this?
I am absolutely done I've gone through the whole Dropbox roundabout - Login, search for payment ID, use credit card details - that didnt work We even CANCELLED OUR CARD - and still the payments are coming out on our new card Every month, we get 2 charges for Dropbox, and no one in our office is connected or has a paying account. When I visited my Dropbox account on Sunday, I saw a pop-up that showed I could get 3 months of Dropbox Plus for free if I subscribe to a plan, as part of a Black Friday promotion. The pop-up showed that the promotion lasts until December 2. However when I visited Dropbox today, I didn't see the pop-up anymore. How do I access the Black Friday deal now?
Can't cancel my Dropbox Backup trial from Seagate
Dropbox Plan Seagate Dropbox Backup + Dropbox Basic Payment Method Linked my Card as a payment method How did you upgrade? Via DropBox website Question or Issue My Seagate comes with a 6 month free trial for Dropbox Backup plan, upon subscribing for this free trial.. I received an email saying: But I cannot find a way to remove this free trial, I no longer need to use it as I found out that I need to upgrade my Dropbox plan first in order to use it. I have no use of it since 2GB Basic Dropbox plan is not enough for me to backup my 2TB Seagate. I now want to cancel the subscription trial and delete my account. I am pretty good with technology, so I know how to cancel it but there is no option to do it in dropbox in my account. Nor am I able to delete my credit card details from the account. I have attached screenshots of the email received and my "plans" page. No option to remove this at all! Kindly assist me to: Cancel this trial. Remove my credit card from your billing system.
