Ipad and Iphone viewing of long file names
Our company is having the issue that on the mobile app (using the ipad or iphone) often times the file name is too long to properly view what we are opening. I want to be able to read the entire file name so I know what i am opening since many of the beginning and last parts of the file are exactly the same for filing purposes so I want to be able to view the file name without having to open each one in order to find out. I'm hoping I make sense. Is there something I'm missing where I'm able to do this? I can't "right click" on the file name cause I'm mobile otherwise I would try that đSolved32KViews22likes112Comments
Import photos from Dropbox to Adobe Lightroom
I have been able to import photos to Lightroom on My IPad from folders on Dropbox. When trying that today it seems not to work. I can find the photos without any problem and select them for import, but then nothing happens. Sometimes if I just select one single photo it will be imported correctly, but most often even that doesn't work. After waiting for awhile for something to happen I often get a message saying "couldn't communicate with a helper application". New Dropbox Backup does not sync to Dropbox iPhone App
There is a new PC folder (labeled PC) created in the new backup program that backs up my files on the internet (dropbox.com) only . However, that same folder does not appear on the Dropbox App on my iPhone or on my PC (dropbox folder) - so none of the new files that are downloaded to the internet sync with the iPhone App. When I manually place files in the Dropbox folder on my PC, it will then sync with my iPhone dropbox app. There use to be a file in the dropbox folder labeled for my Dell Computer name, and that file still exists, but it does not back up to that file as it use to before this new backup program existed. Almost all the files in that Dell Computer name folder have now disappeared. How do I automatically sync new files to my desktop PC dropbox folder, and therefore also the iPhone App, without manually having to do so? Dropbox Not Connecting With Files on iPadOS
I recently switched to an iPad for work but when using Dropbox accessed through the iPadOS Files app, I frequently (multiple times a day now) have to sit and wait for up to 15 minutes or so before Dropbox will load. After talking with Apple, they insist itâs a Dropbox issue (and granted I donât have this issue with anything iCloud or Google related) but Iâm not finding anything online either. When you go to the Files app and select Dropbox the issue occurs either at that level or after a few more folders in. When you try to load anything from dropbox (where is always different so not related to just one folder or file) it doesnât respond for several minutes. After several minutes go by (always a different amount of time as far as I can tell) the file or folder will finally load and be usable. On times that I have already loaded some of Dropbox first, all that information still appears to be available but Dropbox has become unusable until it catches up again. There is more than enough space available in Dropbox and the internet speed is very fast. Any ideas for how to fix this issue (other than âdonât use the Files appâ? Thanks!2.6KViews0likes17Comments
Dropbox iPad app is taking up 280GB of memory
On my iPad, I have synced 206GB of files (Dropbox -> Gear -> Space used). However, on Ipad Settings -> General -> Ipad Storage, Dropbox is taking up 280GB. In the past, I synced more files but I unsynced them to free up space. But Dropbox is refusing to release the space back to iOS. Any ideas, short of deleting dropbox and resyncing, which would take a very long time? I have already tried downloading lots of movies in the TV app to create a memory shortage, which I hoped would cause Dropbox to release space. Doesnât work. There's no login option on the Dropbox app for iPhone (just the option to create an account).
I have had a Dropbox account for years, and I recently downloaded the Dropbox app on my iphone 15, which I got to replace a previous iphone that I damaged beyond the ability to use. I am logged into Dropbox on my Mac and in my browser. When I went to log into the Dropbox app on my new phone, I was presented with an interface to create a new account, but not to log in. I went ahead and entered my email and password for my existing account in that interface, thinking it would provide me with a login interface once it recognized that an account with those credentials already exists.
