I have a problem accessing audio files using Transcribe+ on iOS
I used to have no problem accessing audio files saved to my Dropbox through Transcribe+ iOS app. However, lately when I try to view files I see an (!) icon next to the Dropbox icon in Edit bar, and files in the window are greyed out or show download prompts. Can anyone advise?
"Nothing in folder" error when trying to attach Dropbox files to Outlook on iPhone
I have a very similar issue on an iPhone 15 trying to attach documents from dropbox to Outlook mobile email. Everything worked fine up until about four months ago when suddenly attaching to dropbox started giving the error âNothing in folder, Looks empty over hereâ. Deleting the Outlook mobile app and reinstalling it and repeating the same for Dropbox and reconnecting the two again makes no difference, resetting Dropbox on Outlook mobile app also makes no difference. I checked the Files app on the device and dropbox shows up and is active and all the folders can be seen there, but outlook Mobile appears to be incapable of reading any of them. I use Outlook mobile with dropbox files constantly, or did it up until this issue happened. This only appears to happen on iPhone, as the same application combination appears to work fine on iPad. I have developed a dot maui app and I would like this app to access the files in the dropbox app on the iPhone. With dropbox installed you can mark files for use offline, and I would like my app to access these. Can someone tell me how to do this please. I have searched the web but can't find anything that directly helpsI can't edit entries when using Dropbox Passwords browser extension in Safari on iOS 17.5.1
I currently have the latest iOS 17.5.1 and latest updates with Safari. Anyway, whenever I am using the browser plugin, I can see and create new entries, but I canât edit them. Thereâs no option when viewing the information page (username, password, notes etc screen). The only way I can get edit options is to use the actual Dropbox Paswords app. Am I missing how to do this? If not, feature request?
Confusing access of Dropbox files when compared to different cloud providers
I often get very confused accessing my Dropbox files via various Apple, Google and Microsoft apps on my Mac and iPad. This is particularly problematic for me when trying to locate and open files on Mac and/or iPad for Microsoft apps (such as Excel & Word), for Google apps (such as Numbers & Sheets), and for comparable Apple apps. For example, some .xlsx and .docx files in my Dropbox will open from my Mac, but I'm not allowed to open them from my iPad. And sometimes vice versa. Some Dropbox files don't even appear on both my Mac and iPad, for reasons I don't understand. I wonder if this may be the result of confusion around rules to ensure proper software account integration. Or perhaps that syncing in the integration world get too complex to for casual users like me to understand or manage. Is there a single document available that explains all the steps necessary to make sure Dropbox will present a standard, consistent list of the entire file content of my Dropbox to the same apps on my Mac and iPad.
