This is reason number 7 why I use Google Drive. forgive me for my attitude… but I’m sick of this crap! everything I do in Google Drive works perfectly all the time! However… I have 1 client that wants to use Dropbox. Haven't logged in since 2023 because the platform sucks. Reset password and logged in today. Surprise! Got proved right again… my “storage was 700% full”. Old stuff I already have in Google. So, I deleted EVERY folder I had. storage still full! went to deleted items. Deleted EVERY folder there! Their is now ZERO items anywhere inside my account! STILL!!!! Storage is full! Full of what? This is so stupid! Can I sent my client his files before Christmas? No, I can’t. Dropbox is too stupid to update and let me! I’m not giving you 15 bucks so i can send 1.2 gigs to 1 random guy! Can anyone help me or advise?Solved34Views0likes12CommentsDid you know... you can search for images using just text?
Hello Dropbox Community! My name is Lainie and I'm a Product Manager at Dropbox. Every now and again, I am going to post a "Did you know..." to 1) keep you informed of all of the cool technology that exists at Dropbox and 2) gather your feedback on how the features are performing. In today's, "Did you know..." I'll be talking about Image Search! Image search is allows you to use the Search Bar to search for the contents of the image using words to describe the image. For example, if you search for "cat" your search results will show files that 1) contain the word "cat" in the file name or body, AND 2) files that contain images of cat. No mention of the word "cat" is necessary! Pretty cool! If you haven't yet, I recommend that you check it out. Please respond to this thread and let me know... A) Did you know this feature existed? Do you use it? B) How can we make this even more useful for you? Have a great day! I have an iPhone 14 and iPad Air 4th generation. When I go to files app, under Dropbox it shows Syncing with Dropbox paused. This is only happening on my iPad works fine on iPhone. Spoke with Apple and said it’s a Dropbox issue. I have removed Dropbox app and reinstalled it. Signed out and in, reset network settings. Background app refresh is on. I’ll post a pic. Files are loading but still shows syncing paused.Solved47Views0likes5CommentsHow can I force the mobile app to upload photos on Android?
Device Google Pixel 8 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) macOS 15.6 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 454.2.2 Syncing Status Up to date Question or Issue I am re-using the same question title as a question I found from seven years ago. I am experiencing the same issue as the original poster. I take a photo on my phone, and it does not immediately sync to Dropbox. I am on wifi on my phone, and I don't have any settings limiting upload to certain battery percentages. On my computer it says "Your files are up to date." I can open the app on my phone, navigate to the Camera Uploads folder and pull down to "force a refresh" but it does nothing. Going to the Photos tab at the bottom is even more useless, because you can't pull to refresh. I have to wait hours or days for it to decide to sync, which is frustrating when I want the photo on my computer immediately. I don't have any other apps that sync files or photos from my phone. When I go into the camera settings in the Dropbox app, I can even see the most recent photo (the one that won't sync) in the preview, it just does not show up in my Dropbox!34Views0likes3CommentsHow can I sync folders in the Dropbox mobile app on iOS?
Device Iphone 13 mini Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) newest app Syncing Status Question or Issue I tried to scroll from top to bottom screen within the app, but nothing happens. The app does not refresh at all, in the app settings refreshing on background is active, also mobile date is on. Can some figure this out with me? I have the basic plan, but storage capacity is not full. The folder I want to refresh is shared with me.40Views0likes2CommentsFiles/folders added from another device failed to appear in the Files app on my iPad
native files.app integration is still downright dangerous. When files/folders added to Dropbox from another device failed to appear on my iPad, I tried numerous remedies (none of which worked) culminatinig in reinstalling the Dropbox app and then clearing the cache under "Files.app settings". Clearing the cache resulted in the more recently added folders and their contents being deleted from my Dropbox, even though they were uploaded from a different device. The integration evidently concluded that, since they weren't on my iPad, they didn't belong in the cloud either.26Views0likes1CommentMy files aren't being received by others.
I've been sending files for quite some time to different email addresses. Recently, my clients are not getting the shared files. It says in Dropbox that it's sent, even if I send it multiple times it says it's sent. I tried to send to myself as well and am not receiving the files, though I did receive a reminder email. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, etc. Samsung S21.Solved129Views0likes11CommentsHow to disable the automatic saving of my smartphone screen captures into Dropbox ?
