As an admin I want to assign multiple admin roles to another user. Issue details: Please can I request additional improvements to the Admin roles that can be associated with a users account. At present, User Management, Billing, Content are all separate role types; which can only be assigned to a single user each. We have the requirement for one user to have access to User Management AND Billing AND Content. However this cannot be done. The only current workaround is for the user to be made 'team Admin' which poses a confidentiality issue . Please can you provide functionality for users to be assigned more than one role.532Views0likes1CommentUser restrictions on bulk deletion or moving
It would be great if it were possible to set a user so they cannot perform bulk deletions or moves of files. One of the users, who does not have admin rights, accidentally moved a folder with 350,000 files. As a result, we lost the functionality of the links when returning the folder back. It would therefore be great if some users could be restricted so that it is not possible to move or delete files beyond a certain quota.275Views2likes4CommentsDescribe reason for admin signing in as a user
When an admin uses the "log in as user"/"sign in as user" feature in the web admin interface, a confirmation prompt appears warning the admin that all other admins will get notified by email. It would be nice if this confirmation prompt included a text entry box where the admin could describe the reason for signing in as a member, and if this reason was included in the email sent to other admins and in the audit logs. Use case: Our admins are regularly accessing the Dropbox account of a recently departed senior employee to look for certain files. Currently, the Dropbox admins manually send emails to the other admins to let them know the reason for the access.28Views0likes2CommentsSender receives an email notification when and with who they share a folder with!
Whenever the owner shares a folder/ file in dropbox they should receive a delivery notification that the folder/ file has been shared with the receiver detailing the date/ time/ receiver details (name and account/ email), similar to the one a receiver gets from dropbox portal that a file/ folder has been shared by xxxx dropbox account. We all make mistakes or sometimes it could be some glitch in the devices, a folder is shared accidently and as you do not receive any notifications so such detail can easily be missed as the sender is oblivious of the activity/ mistake and it can go unnoticed. When the receiver accepts and joins the folder than its easy to check who has access but in cases where the receiver accepts and immediately removes themselves in that case its practically impossible to track if the shared folder was ever accessed by the receiver. This also can be deemed as a security concern, as the sender is completely oblivious of the shared folder status and there is no proof that the folder was actually shared with the receiver. The activity log and events page do reflect the sharing of the folder but do not provide details with who the folder/ file was shared. Hope this can be taken into consideration as can surely help track sharing of folders much better and secured. Thanks33Views0likes3CommentsShow IP logins in easy accessable log
Since IP addresses are not shown in security allerts of new login I want an ease accessable "Your Logins", just as you have the "Your Activity", in the program/app and in web login. Notification just mentioning that there has been a web browser login without mention from where (what IP address) is pretty useless, so I need to see from where the access is to eliminate the suspicion of unauthorized logins somewhere, without searching in settings for open sessions. Thank you.12Views1like1CommentPassword-protect a Paper document
I'd very much like to protect a paper file with a password to store personal data I wouldn't want to get accessed from someone who might steal my phone or I might inadvertently share with others. That was a feature of Evernote though. Why isnt't this possible on dropbox? There has been a post about this suggestion about this 6 yrs ago! Thank you for your attention.37Views0likes2Comments
