Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me. We've been using dropbox for a while and it's been going swimmingly, but in the recent few months there has been a change. When I open an excel document it used to open in 'Excel for the web' and was easily editable, but recently it's stopped loading properly. I'm trying to open it using Safari browser (my friend who is using Microsoft software isn't having the same issue), and now instead of the file loading it looks like this, but never loads: Can anyone help? I've restarted my computer and installed any updates. Many thanks.32Views0likes5CommentsGive us an option to permanently disable or turn off "Suggested for you"...
This is an ongoing complaint from your user base that has been documented for years now. I see a mobile app fix was implemented. Unfortunately for me I mainly use the web version, so I can only click the little eyeball icon to hide the section each time I refresh the page or move between folders, etc. I don't need my client's case photos, which are often graphic and disturbing, splashed across the top of my screen when I am trying to pull up a case file to check if a court date notice came in. We don't need the equivalent of a Ralph Wiggum AI messing with our work flow and potentially exposing sensitive information and images when we navigate our folders. We know where we've put things and if we forget, there is a search function that works great. Please give the end user on all platforms the option to permanently disable this "function".22Views0likes1CommentThe first line when viewing comments gets blocked by tools.
When someone leaves comments and I select it to read the whole thing, a box with the emoji, resolve and other options appears, blocking the last few words in the first line of the comment. Is there a way to turn off that function? It's super annoying to have to deselect the comment to read the first line, then select again to see the rest.35Views0likes3CommentsSearch doesn't work both from the desktop app and on the website
I'm trying to show all files with the .kbdx file extension. First I tried the search built into the Dropbox system tray presence, but it returned no results. Then I logged in through the website and searched again, and still no results. Panic really start to set in, because that's my keepass password manager file extension. If I manually go to a directory where I know one is, it's there. Why isn't search working, and how do I turn it back on?19Views0likes1CommentFile opened "x minutes ago" when I didn't open it?
I was looking for a file I'd accessed on my phone, but was having a struggle seeing files based on how recently I'd accessed them so I tried on the web client instead I was shocked to see various flags of files being opened within the last hour that I hadn't accessed! I checked the files and they were only shared/accessable to me, not to anyone else.. I quickly changed my password and removed a slew of older devices I'd used to access Dropbox. The next morning (now) I've opened the web client again, and more random files that aren't shared with anyone else are still showing as being accessed seemingly "on their own" Can someone shed some light on this behaviour?6.6KViews0likes27CommentsPasswords not synced between Android phone and browser
I am trying to access a password in the browser extenion (v3.26.0) that I created on my android phone (v278.13, phone is S25 Ultra Android 15), but it is not available. Both are logged in to the same account. How do I fix this?18Views0likes1CommentCan I get the actual creation date of the file, and not just the upload date?
I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. Hi, I can't open my Excel files any more. Normaly I open them with the Excel for the Web option and work in them. Now it keeps on loading (right under in the screencorner) but it freezes/doesn't open. Has anybody an idea how to solve this?25Views0likes1Comment
