Audio stops when the phone is locked

Hi all,
When I listen to audio from dropbox, it stops when I lock the phone or when the phone locks itself. It didn't do about a month ago. Any tips how to solve it? I have android phone.

The Android version of the Dropbox app should try to open music files in a separate player.

Could you try changing the default apps using these steps for the Dropbox app, so you can try a different music player?

Hi there Janesavi, thanks for reaching out to us here!

Could you just make sure that your device is running the latest OS version, and the lastest version of the Dropbox app?

Please let me know which versions these are too, to have a better idea of your setup.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Janesavi, when you preview the files, what type of audio file is it?

Are you using a specific app to preview it, or the Dropbox mobile app itself?

Could you try using a different app to open the file via Dropbox?

It is .mp3. I tap on the file in the list of files in dropbox and it opens, I suppose, via dropbox as well. I honestly don't know how to open it through different app. If I hold my finger on the file, it just opens (and stops within a minute when the phone locks), if I tap three dots, I can copy or share the file, not open it in something else. Even though I may not have a dedicatedd app for that purpose. I have a voice recorder and yt music.

That worked! Thank you so much for your help! I tried to open all kinds of settings inside the app but wouldn't think of going through phone settings.
