Can we search by file name on the Dropbox website, and not by content?

I had to remove Dropbox from my PC as I ran out of space. I am now stuck only using it online via a browser. I have yet to find a way to search by file name and not content - and I've found nothing recent online that tells me how to do it. I've even just read the information about Dash and it doesn't seem to do it either.

Can this system seriously not handle such a fundamental feature yet?

And before someone asks me to clarify - I mean - I want a list that only contains the files that have the searched term in their file name. I don't want EVERYTHING that contains the term - just the files whose names contain the term. In Windows Explorer (and virtually every other storage solution I use) you can simply type "Name: (search term)".

Hi michael a.31, thanks for posting on our forum today.

Can you try using quotation marks when searching for your files on the Dropbox website? Does that seem to help a bit?

If not, can you send me a screenshot of an example keyword you’re typing in to the search bar online and the results you get?

    Keep me posted.

I was able to reproduce this issue, however on my end Dropbox will return all files that have the search term in the filename first (as long as "most relevant" is selected in the Sort By menu), and then everything else that may contain that term afterward.

It definitely would be helpful if there was a way to exclude everything else all together though, agreed.
