Hey Cori17 and Hawkeye00, can you follow the below steps and let us know if they help?

  1. Navigate to Excel/Microsoft app
  2. Tap on person icon in top left corner
  3. Tap 'Storage Accounts'
  4. Tap 'Edit'
  5. Remove desired accounts to ensure only 1 is connected
  6. Retry opening MS Excel file from Dropbox app

Someone posted this and it works for me. 

Just use the Files app and connect it to your Dropbox, then access the Files app within Microsoft Office or any other application. It's a much better experience, for any cloud storage service.
